11 of us had our Christmas Party here, we went for the Xmas package and it was excellent from start to finish, even when we had to make last minute changes. Fantastic service from Chris and his crew, delicious food and gorgeous atmosphere. No notes. Top notch. Thanks so much x

It is such a shame but the quality of food and the atmosphere have taken a nose dive. Had 3 roast dinners and two cauliflower cheeses, one of the 2 cauliflower cheeses only arrived with 3 pieces of cauliflower in it. We were though offered two more for free and had them taken off the bill, however the cauliflower was rock solid and the sauce had little flavour and wasn’t hot. The remaining vege was also undercooked and under seasoned. We had two beef roasts and one nut roast, the nut roast option was dry and the beef was very fatty. It is such a shame as the pub was once a fantastic pub with a great atmosphere and amazing food, but it felt a different pub today to what it once was.

Could not have been more kind and helpful. We were a big party, just before Christmas, they were busy and didn’t have to help, but absolutely did. We are really grateful to Will and his kitchen team for making our event, and the last minute changes, so professionally and kindly possible :)

Came here twice for a Sunday roast, the first time the food was very lovely and tasty, atmosphere was okay but the service seemed a bit frosty. The second time the food quality seemed to have dropped, the root veg was still hard as if it had only been boiled for a minute and the cauliflower cheese was also rock solid, however the beef and roast potatoes were lovely! Service is fairly speedy however the staff act like it’s an inconvenience to serve you even thought you’re a paying customer. This doesn’t apply to all the staff just a couple. It doesn’t always feel overly welcoming which is a shame as it has potential to be a really fantastic establishment.

Sensational. Busy busy busy with noisy drinkers but what did I expect for a Saturday summer nights beer garden. Great location but the highlight has to be the brilliant menu and service. Every dish we had was brilliant. Enjoyed our food so much I forgot to take decent photos.
