  Had lunch there after reading reviews online. Definitely glad I did I! It was quiet at lunch and I had a cheese and pear pasta which was fantastic and very filling. We stopped in as a group of few nights later for drinks and supper for myself. It was packed! We found a table and I had the ricotta and spinach tortellini which too was very tasty. The live music that night was a great addition. Service was quick and friendly. Great atmosphere too. Would highly recommend. Especially if looking for a vegetarian option.

  Awesome! The Celt pub amazed us. The interior has a lot of details and is beautifully decorated. The service was top-notch, and the staff were very attentive. Our favorite beer was the “Red,” as Bryan suggested! Highly recommended!

  The Celt was high on my “Dublin Pub Crawl” bucket list because it is known for nightly music and a lively atmosphere. This place is a full-on complex. It's fairly large, and even with a lot of people inside, it never felt crowded. We stopped for food between bands and didn't stick around long enough for the main show, so we unfortunately missed the music that we came for. The food itself was good, but not great. It felt like the chef spends more time decorating than giving the dishes some real flavor. I ordered The Celt’s “Famous Irish Stew” and my wife had the Celtic Pie of the Day. Both were decent, just not memorable. The brown bread? Shockingly good. Service was… bad. No way to sugarcoat it. Slow and uninterested. Between the atmosphere and the reputation, I expected better. And I have to mention the caged bird in the bar. Yes, a literal bird. In a cage. Inside the pub. I genuinely thought maybe I was just buzzing, but no, that was a real thing. When does it sleep? I still do not know why it is there, but it definitely added a twist to the experience. Overall, The Celt has a great layout, a strong reputation for music and a cool vibe, but my visit was a mixed bag. I would go back for the music and maybe a pint, but I would skip the food… and probably still question the bird.

  Local pub fare which we enjoyed (but not the highest quality pub fare). Great atmosphere. On their website, ask for a reservation, in the front room. On a Wednesday, they did not hold us to 90 minutes. Book a dinner at 8:30; music starts at 9:30. Good service. Cozy.

  The Celt was such a treat for us to find. I would recommend calling ahead to make a reservation on weekends or peak days as it was obviously a local favorite. We were fortunate that they let us snag a table for three that had a reserved sign. The food was delicious, we had the roast beef, bangers and mash (our servers favorite) and the cheese and pear raviolini. All amazing as our plates were cleaned entirely. The vibe is classic Irish with great music playing and eclectic decor including historical and old photos throughout. We would definitely come back here. Quick note on accessibility, this is not a step-free establishment unfortunately. Steps into the building, steps throughout, and steps down to the bathroom make this inaccessible for those with disabilities. You'll find this to be common with most older buildings in Dublin.
