Excellent service and vibes - it’s a cool place! It’s small and fills up quickly, even in the middle of the week. The server was lovely & there is a lot of fun decor to look at. We ordered the prosciutto pizza with garlic dip and the hot & honey fried chicken Sammy. The prosciutto pizza was a miss for me and I wouldn’t order it again as it was very soft and the flavour profile wasn’t balanced. And though the hot & honey fried chicken sandwich wasn’t hot, it was the standout of the meal. It was crispy, delicious & juicy! I only wish it was bigger! Unfortunately the fries looked great but, like the pizza, also weren’t crispy.

The only thing I wish for their food is that they expand the menu a little. That said, what they do offer (standard pub fare) is all great. Inside is nice and cozy and welcoming, and the patio in the summer is glorious. I've been coming here somewhat regularly ever since they opened and the service has always been excellent. Helpful, friendly, and timely. Good beer menu as well, with some dependable local crafts on tap. Highly recommended!

We came as a big group of 10 people and started outside on the covered patio. Unfortunately, the rain/hail was quite noisy and they were able to accommodate seating us inside at their high top tables. The food and service were excellent and it was a fun place to check out. Heard about their pug mascot but did not get the chance to meet it. All the more reason to go back again!

Came to the pub for lunch strictly because it’s named the Black Pug. The menu is modern with items like crispy chicken sandwiches, smash burgers and fish tacos. Ordered the fish tacos and asked for half salad and half fries and the kitchen delivered. It was fresh, delicious, and a good portion; I could have eaten many more fries they were that tasty. Lunch cost about $18 including tax before tips, which in this economy is a steal. Small inside pub, big outdoor covered patio. Lots of parking in the plaza. They even have pug beer. What more can you ask for?

This is about to become my favorite spot! Met up with a couple of friends after work to support local business and we were not disappointed. I will be back again soon and looking forward to patio season. We had smash burger and chicken Sammy and a little Coleslaw might have been good on the side they was otherwise delish! Service was friendly and quick. See you again soon!!
