We spent two nights in Brussels for my husband’s birthday, and as two craft-beer lovers on a mission, we were desperate to find somewhere with proper local brews, knowledgeable bartenders and absolutely no tourist-trap chaos. Moeder Lambic Fontainas ticked every single box. It was lively but nothing like the utter carnage of Beer Capital Brussels or Delirium—both so loud and hectic they’d make your pint vibrate. We took one look and swiftly backed out, making Moeder Lambic feel like a very welcome sanctuary. We enjoyed some fantastic beers, all guided by genuinely knowledgeable staff. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, and my husband had brilliant birthday drinks. We end up going again next night , that's how much we enjoyed it. Thank you, team—cheers to you! 🍻

As soon as I walked in, I noticed a foreigner staring at me—turns out it was because of my Jing-A jacket! 😂 After chatting, I found out he’s actually the owner of Sweden’s Apex Brewery, who just did a collab at 8x8 last week! If you’ve already checked off Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Boerenerf and Delirium in Brussels, this place is definitely worth a visit. About half of their tap list is lambic, usually around €6–7 per glass. They also feature some innovative Belgian breweries and modern styles. 📸 Photo 5: the new lambic blendery Black-Belle 📸 Photo 6: a Belgian hazy IPA 📸 Photo 7: a brewery-exclusive Pilsner They also brew their own mead and kombucha in-house. Every beer tasted fresh and clean—no off-flavors at all. And if you hit it off with the bartender, you might even get a free sample! 🍻

A very nice stop along the way. Outdoor tables to sit and enjoy some beers and small bites. Service was kind and knowledgeable. Today's tastes were the XX Bitter, the Kriek cherry lambic, and a simple wit. There is also a small plate menu with quiche, fries, and other enjoyments.

Nice and wide selection of beers. Had been here some time ago and loved every lambic beer I tasted here and came back to try more. Very nice place out front to hang out in summer days too.

Interesting selection of craft beers managed to find something I liked - the bar staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Good outside area to enjoy drinks in the sun and shade from the large umbrellas
