I'm really glad to have visited this bar as it was the best experience during my time in Gdańsk! Great atmosphere with live karaoke which was fun. Good food, good drinks and good times. Met some really friendly people (Lukasz, Olga and Kuba) which made my evening complete! Can't wait to return. Thanks guys!

Great choice of drinks especially flavoured vodka, very good prices and friendly atmosphere. The toilets have been mosaiced in jaegermeister bottles very unique.

Stopped by this cozy bar and really liked the beer selection they had. The funny posters on the walls gave the place a nice playful touch. What really caught my attention was the toilet decorated with Jägermeister and Jack Daniel’s bottles. The beer prices were reasonable, so it's a good spot to hang out.

At first we thought it was a pub mainly for tourists with an attractive and funny name. In the end, the Ministry of Herring and Vodka turned out to be a pleasant pub mainly for locals, where tourists who move away from the historical center also stop by sometimes. I really like such places where there are mainly locals and it is not crowded with tourists. There had to be beer and vodka, and it was pleasant to sit and "work" there :-)

Okay, so Ministerstwo Śledzia i Wódki is one of those places you just have to go to when you're in Poland. Like, it’s basically a national treasure lol. It’s tiny, loud, kinda chaotic — and I LOVED it. You go in, get a shot of vodka (or two... or five), and pair it with... yes, herring 🐟. Sounds weird? Maybe. But it totally works. The vibe is super Polish, super casual, and just plain fun. Everyone’s standing around, laughing, drinking, and snacking on fish like it’s a party in grandma’s kitchen — but with neon lights. Cheap drinks, strong shots, salty snacks. It’s not fancy, it’s not Insta-perfect — but that’s what makes it cool. You go here to feel like a local, not just take pretty pictures. Go with friends, try the flavored vodkas, and embrace the chaos. You haven’t really been to Poland if you haven’t done shots here.
