Lots of bars showing English Premier League football, reasonable beers and price, didn’t enjoy it as my team lost ! But that’s not the bars fault just the overpaid tools that were playing like they had drunk a bottle of strong Polish vodka the night before. Would go again if I’m in the Toon and we happen to be playing again !

A bar in a basement…. Weren’t sure about the name but actually only thing we saw connecting it to football were the large screen TV’s showing games. Was fairly quiet so may not be as easy to get a seat in busier months. We had the 12 piece Vodka shots at zt80. Good value as the actually all tasted quite nice. So much so we had another. Music plays and the atmosphere is good. Only downside was it could do with a good clean.

I feel like a bit of a philistine for visiting somewhere called the English Football Club while on holiday in Krakow, but it came highly recommended and I can only agree. It also happened to be directly opposite our apartment, which made it far too convenient to ignore. It’s right next to the better-known (and TikTok-famous) Wodka Bar, but I’d definitely suggest skipping that one and heading downstairs instead. English Football Club is a brilliant little bar with a great selection of well-made drinks. Their flights of flavoured vodka are especially good value and a lot of fun to pick from. Service was efficient and friendly, with only minimal eye-rolling while we spent far too long choosing our flavours. We paid 95pln for a 12-shot flight. It was quiet when we arrived around 6pm on a Monday, but had started to fill up nicely by the time we left an hour later. A great spot for a relaxed drink and a proper hidden gem.
